What Is Chiropractic?
Chiropractic is a hands-on approach to improving the alignment, posture, and coordination of your spine. It's built on the idea that structural misalignments in the spine, sometimes called subluxations, can affect the muscles around them and the nervous system, which in turn can contribute to back pain, neck pain, and other issues. In the UK, chiropractors train for five years and must be registered with the General Chiropractic Council.
What Does Treatment Actually Involve?
Techniques range from very gentle spinal work to more traditional manual adjustments, often combined with soft tissue methods like trigger point therapy, massage, or dry needling. Claire also builds in a rehabilitation plan so the changes from your treatment actually stick.
How Is NetworkSpinal Analysis Different?
NetworkSpinal Analysis was developed to help release tension patterns that build up in the spinal cord after injury or ongoing stress. Rather than mechanically adjusting the spine, Claire uses very light pressure at specific points to help your body find and release that tension on its own, no twisting, popping, or cracking required.
What Happens On My First Visit?
This appointment will be 45 minutes. You'll fill out a health questionnaire beforehand, then Claire will ask about your health history and carry out a physical assessment, including postural photos, before putting together a full report.
What Happens On My Second Visit?
This appointment will be 30 minutes. Claire will walk you through what she found on your first visit, recommend a plan of care, and you'll receive your first adjustment. She'll also cover any financial packages available, if that's something you're interested in.
What Does A NetworkSpinal Session Feel Like?
A NetworkSpinal session, or entrainment, typically lasts 20 to 30 minutes. You stay fully clothed and lie on the table while Claire uses gentle pressure along your spine. Many people notice their breathing deepen and a wave-like release of tension through their body, leaving them feeling more relaxed and energised.
